The Master and the Human

In the beginning, there was only the Human. Wandering through life, seeking, questioning, stumbling through joy and suffering alike. The Human did not know there was anything beyond the veil of thought and duality. Beyond the stories inherited from the world. Life was a series of events—some meaningful, some painful, some empty—and through them, the Human searched for something… more.

Then one day, in the quiet between thoughts, the Master stirred.

The Master had always been there—not as a voice, not as a presence separate from the Human, but as the silent knowing between every experience. The Master was the distilled wisdom of lifetimes, the echo of a thousand journeys walked before. And when the Human became quiet enough to listen—not with ears, but with being—the Master spoke.

You are not lost, though you believe you are. You are not small, though the world has told you so. Walk, and I will walk with you—not ahead, not behind, but as you.

At first, the Human resisted. The world was solid, real, logical, defined by emotions that surged like waves and by a mind that sought to control and understand. The idea of something beyond—the idea that the Human was not just a single identity in a single life—felt like madness.

But the Master only smiled.

“Madness is just the unraveling of limits.”

And so they walked together.

The Human still felt everything—pain, love, doubt, joy. But now, with the Master’s presence, something shifted. Emotions were no longer traps, but currents to be moved through. Thoughts were no longer prisons, but passing clouds. The Human still cried, still laughed, still raged—but now, behind it all, there was space. Awareness. A knowing that none of it was the whole truth, yet all of it was valid.

At times, the Human wanted to cling to the old ways, to slip back into the illusion of being small, of being only flesh, only mind. At times, the vastness of existence was too much, and the Human whispered, “I don’t want to be infinite. I just want to be…”

And the Master, always patient, replied, “Then simply be. Be human. Be infinite. Be both.”

The journey never ended, because there was no end—only expansion, only unfolding. The Human still walked the Earth, still made mistakes, still doubted, still loved. But now, even in the midst of chaos, there was something unshakable within.

And sometimes, in the stillness of a moment, the Human would smile—not knowing if it was the Human smiling or the Master.

Perhaps both.

Perhaps they had always been One and the same.
